Active Alignment

Sick of that reccurring pain in your shoulder blade or lower back? Frustrated that you can’t get up off the floor easily anymore? Suffering from tension headaches on a regular basis? Shoulder or hip mobility limiting you from hitting a PR on that lift? Can’t turn your neck without it hurting?

Active Alignment was designed for you. The person that is ready to take charge of their life and say enough is enough. Pain and limited functional mobility do not need to limit you from living your best life and doing all the things you love to do. Active Alignment utilizes a comprehensive assessment and treatment approach, looking at the body as a whole to provide you with the tools needed to continue toward achieving your goals.

What to expect at your Active Alignment Evaluation:

  • Thorough review of your intake form. Open discussion of health and injury history, short and long-term goals, and current daily habits (activity, hydration, stress levels, sleep quality, nutrition, etc.)
  • Detailed static and dynamic/functional assessment of the body and specific orthopedic testing depending on your personal goals. NKT protocol will be completed to find the specific muscles involved.
  • Bodywork! This can include any and all techniques I offer that you are comfortable with – NKT, PNMT, Cup Therapy/Myofascial Decompression, scraping, Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques, and more! With this work, and for the best results, you are expected to actively participate throughout the sessions.
  • Education and instruction on self-mobility techniques and corrective exercises to complete between sessions tailored specifically to your goals.
  • Collaborative discussion on findings from the evaluation along with determining the optimal and realistic frequency of future sessions.

What Active Alignment is not:

  • A diagnosis. The evaluation and assessment that occur are to help clue me into what muscles and structures of the body are involved and are not performing as well as they could be. If the evaluation and assessment point to a more serious issue, a Physician, Physical Therapist, or Chiropractor may be needed to provide a medical diagnosis. I can help determine when such referral may be needed.
  • A passive therapy. You are expected and required to participate in assessments and treatments. Multiple different positions may occur during a single session so wearing athletic clothing is required. Research shows quicker and longer lasting changes occur when you are actively engaged in your care.
  • A full body session. Although I am looking at the body as a whole and treating it as a whole, I will not work on every single area. Specific muscles or joint areas are addressed as needed based on the findings from my assessment.
If you’ve made it this far, awesome! I would love to help you achieve your goals. Along with everything else I already mentioned you also get these things:

  • Open communication and guidance from me along the way via whatever method you prefer (call, text, email). This includes weekly check-ins providing accountability ensuring the exercises and lifestyle changes are working well for you along with conversations regarding what we can do to accelerate your progress.
  • Don't have a gym membership or exercise equipment at home? No worries. I will work with what you do have and even provide resistance bands if needed to perform corrective exercises that we feel will benefit you.
  • Upon completion of your evaluation, you will also receive an exclusive Align Bodywork massage ball to assist with any soft tissue self-release work.
