for athletes, active individuals, and pain-relief

Treatment Options

Various techniques will likely be combined into your own unique treatment.

Together we will determine the best treatment plan to meet your life and needs.

Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT)

NKT treats pain or movement dysfunction by application of Motor Control Theory, neuroscience, and functional anatomy.  NKT identifies muscle imbalances via a specific protocol allowing us to use specific treatment and corrective exercise techniques to restore proper movement patterns & reprogram the brain.  We want to treat the source, not the symptoms. NKT is only available with Active Alignment service.

Deep Tissue

Bodywork of the fascia and deeper layers of connective tissue in the body using slow, sustained pressure at problem areas to relieve tension. Recommended for those with chronic stress, injuries, and active individuals. Soreness can be common after this type of bodywork.

Precision Neuromuscular Therapy (PNMT)

Precise and thorough examination of muscles to locate trigger points or muscle spasms and release. Once released, the benefits include decreased pain, improved circulation, and improved connective tissue flexibility and performance.

Cup Therapy/Myofascial Decompression

The combination of manual therapy and negative pressure, through the skilled placement of cups, that focuses on the efficiency of fascial mobility and neuromuscular re-education to reduce pain, release connective tissue restrictions, and increase functional range of motion. Traditional cup therapy skills may also be utilized if warranted or requested. Cup marks are normal and can often be seen on the skin up to 2 weeks after treatment.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

Slow and rhythmic manual technique to encourage the natural drainage of lymph fluid up to 10x its normal rate.  This may help to: reduce swelling/inflammation, boost immune system, improve circulation of lymph fluid and support the body’s natural detoxification processes, & support post-surgical recovery, acute injury recovery, recovery from sport, and activating the parasympathetic nervous system/relaxation.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)

Use of a massage tool to assist with relieving tension in the fascia and superficial muscles and stimulating new oxygenated blood flow to areas. Mild redness may occur.

Active Alignment

The solution for those looking for longer lasting pain relief and improvements in functional mobility. Thorough evaluation, full body assessment along with specific orthopedic testing depending on your goals, bodywork, and specific corrective mobility all included.

Infrared saunas create the same infrared heat produced by the sun that all living things require for optimum health, without the harmful UV radiation. This radiant heat penetrates the skin deeper than a traditional sauna, increasing the thermal energy in joints, muscles, and tissues.

Combine with your massage or use as a stand-alone treatment to help your body feel and perform at its best.

Our current ways of living, some to no fault of our own, often lead to sluggish cellular performance or with injury/surgery that extra boost may be beneficial to accelerate healing.

Facilitating healing of the body on a cellular level.

The mission of Align Bodywork is to help restore or maintain alignment in the body. Both our bodies and lives are made up of many components that must interact properly in order to function optimally. When these components are out of alignment, the body makes it clearly evident through pain, injury, motor dysfunction, excess stress, and more.

I would love the opportunity to help guide your body to a better state of alignment. Together we will determine the best treatment plan that will allow your body to function to it's full potential, while also teaching you how to maintain that level of function.

**Appointments after 4pm are not available for new clients. If you are an established client, please message me for my evening availability and I will get you scheduled. Outside business hour appointments are sometimes available at a $40 surcharge for all services. Same week massage & bodywork appointments are very rarely available.  I am generally booking at least 4-6 weeks out with a waitlist available.
